CAL FIRE, Napa County OES, CHP, CDCR, Sonoma County OES, PG&E and Napa County Sheriff.
CAL FIRE Incident Management Team 3 assumed command of the Atlas Fire, in conjunction with the Napa County Sheriffâ??s Department at 3:00 pm today. Resources continue to arrive from across the state to support fire control and structure defense operations. Today, North winds caused the fire to spread southward in steep difficult terrain and heavy fuels. This afternoon, winds transitioned from the Southwest. Tonight, cooler temperatures and higher humidity should assist firefighters in the construction of control lines. Damage assessment teams are surveying the fire area in an attempt to confirm how many homes may have been damaged or destroyed.
